A Man, a fragmentary narrative of bodies, animals, objects. [Nes]theaters production 2000
1999-2000
A man wakes up, has breakfast, walks out the door and his day unfolds. Life seems to happen to him and things become increasingly unreal and not what he was expecting. People come to him, at him, move him through the day as they transform fluidly between human, animal and object – bed, door, shower, bench, tree, dog, ladder, stone, lamp post. He is increasingly overwhelmed and physically engulfed by his surroundings.
A visual and fragmentary choreography of events, of small things made large and of the fragile line between normal and dream-like logic.
